This year marks an exciting milestone for KJ Fire Safety Ltd as we celebrate 12 years in business. Since day one, our mission has been simple: deliver reliable, high-quality fire safety solutions while always putting safety first. Over the past decade, we’ve had the privilege of supporting businesses across a wide range of industries, helping them stay compliant, protected, and prepared.

Reaching this milestone would not have been possible without the incredible support from our team and clients, and we’re proud of how far we’ve come.

What KJ Fire Safety Has Been Up To Recently

Recently, we’ve been working with a range of organisations to deliver fire safety services including:

  • Fire risk assessments

  • Fire safety compliance support

  • Equipment servicing and maintenance

  • Fire safety consultancy

Our goal remains the same: to help businesses stay compliant and confident in their fire safety procedures. We’ve also continued expanding the support and advice we provide to clients, ensuring they have access to practical guidance when they need it.

Working on the transformation of Newcastle’s 1930s Pilgrim Street fire station into Hotel Gotham has been a rare chance to blend modern fire safety with local history. From preserved architectural features to design nods to its emergency service past, this project proves heritage buildings can evolve without losing their story.

Team Updates

As the business grows, so does our team. We’re proud to have built a skilled and knowledgeable group of professionals who bring experience, dedication, and a shared commitment to safety. Ongoing professional development is important to us, and we continue to invest in training and industry updates so we can provide the best possible service.

We’ve been excited to introduce Luke, our newest Apprentice Engineer at KJ Fire. We’re thrilled to have him on board and look forward to supporting his learning, growth, and future achievements as part of the team. Also, Shirley, our Business Support Executive, has celebrated over a year with us now!

Work Highlights

We’ve had the opportunity to work on a variety of projects with both new and long-standing clients. From supporting businesses with compliance requirements to delivering practical fire safety improvements, it’s incredibly rewarding to see the positive impact our work has on organisations and their teams. Every client relationship is important to us, and we take pride in building partnerships based on trust, reliability, and results. We also like to get involved in any way we can, whether its fun approaches to marketing or supporting charity organisations or individuals.

We’re proud to have our sponsored tee sign in place at Wigan Golf Club, and it’s a fun reminder that there are so many creative ways to get your business noticed. Even better, we love being able to support a great local club at the same time. In addition, we’re proud to have supported Compassion in Action for so many years including this past Christmas, and we look forward to continuing that support throughout 2026 and beyond. Thanks to this amazing organisation and the wider community, 622 full Christmas lunches and 3,497 brand-new toys were delivered to vulnerable families – ensuring thousands of children and parents were supported and cared for at Christmas.

Fire Safety Training – Online and Face to Face

Training is a key part of effective fire safety. At KJ Fire Safety Ltd, we offer both online and face-to-face fire safety training to suit the needs of different businesses and teams. Whether organisations prefer flexible digital learning or in-person sessions, our training programmes are designed to be practical, engaging, and informative.

The aim is simple: help staff understand fire risks, know how to respond, and feel confident in emergency situations.

All KJ Fire Safety training is delivered by Tom Ashworth, a fully qualified, insured and highly experienced fire safety trainer. With over 30 years’ experience in the fire service, Tom has worked as a:
• Firefighter
• Incident Commander
• Fire Safety Trainer serving with Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service.

Tom’s sessions are designed to be engaging, inclusive and practical, combining real-life experience with certified training. He tailors every session to your building, your people and your risks – because no two workplaces are the same.
